It is the view of Professor Richard Wolf that Donald Trump learnt that:
1. he impugned great harm to himself and the US agricultural economy by his tariff war against China
2. he learnt that it was not in his power to THUMP China on her knees and kow-tow to him.
In first half of 2019, the Belt and Road Initiative, BRI, had a trade value of some USD 675+ mln. We leave you to surmise what would be the total when we come to 2020.
