What this learned Harvard divine is not aware of is my argument with respect to the impracticality, futility and impossibility for the top hegemon to actually field an army of US military personnel in an obliterated piece of Chinese land area and then to pour in the requisite number to expand its land area by which to conquer China. If it can do this then this will be victory.

Why can't it be done?

It can't be done because you can work out the mathematics as to how many men you will need to hold down a population of 1.4+ billion. 

LBJ sent in half a million+  men to suppress a population base of some 17+ million of N. Vietnam. In the process he was to put down on top of them a tonnage of TNT that was greater that all that was used in WW II. And he failed to win!

Work it out! Multiply the total tonnage of TNT that LBJ used in Vietnam by the dividing 17 million into it. Now use the number you get and multiply it 1.4 billion and you will get the total tonnage of bombs you need to drop on China and yet not win the US/China war. Because the answer you got was the total amount of TNT/person that LBJ dropped on N. Vietnam and it did not work.

Now divide 17+ million by half a million. This gives you LBJ's ratio of N. Vietnamese to marines that was need to whack N. Vietnam. 

Now you this ratio and work out what would be the LBJ ratio for whacking the Chines and by extension you will have the number of military personnel that the US would need to LBJ China. Of of course it is the losing number. 

So, what is the tonnage of TNT and the total number of military personnel that you will need to win.

If the entire city of New York citizens took out their guns and decided to war against the US, how many marines would you need to force their total and abject surrender. And how long do you think it will take for you to put you boot on the neck of every New Yorker?
