You cannot change history

There is that part of America that suffered as slaves under white masters.

There are the sons and daughters of the descendants who fought for their then legal right to own slaves.

There was the Union side who won and defeated the Confederacy.

Whether the Afro Americans like it or not, the Confederacy is part of their history.

So:

For me the ideal is how to acknowledge the history of the Confederacy because they have paid for it in blood too.

Contemporary Afro-American society is moving into its place in American society as Indians, Chinese, Japanese and etc. And demographically, the US will be ethnically dominated by Spanish speakers. The white Anglo-Saxon will be in the minority.
