MOSUL

You may remember, way back when, the US trained Iraqi army finally forewarned IS/ISIL that it was coming to retake Mosul, a great and ancient city in Iraq.
Well, finally this US trained Army rode forth and came to retake Mosul.
The amazing thing is that it is x/12 months that have passed:

and they are still at it.

The thing of importance is that you really have to wonder re the quality of training of these Iraqi soldiers, especially as we presume they are armed to the teeth with the best of US weaponry in the field! If the training is poor it is a waste of US tax dollars. The beneficiaries need to be recalled to the US to be retrained to train the Iraqis to the requisite battle standard.
