You really have to wonder the value of it all.

For the sin of offering sanctuary to the Osama bin Laden, G. W. Bush with enabling support of Tony Blair went to WAR in Afghanistan.

The late unfortunate Mullah Oman of the Taliban was found riding off into the sunset in his motorcycle to escape the rain of bombs that came upon his country.

Thus US and its immediate allies won.

But then the Taliban who had whacked the Russian Army now faced the American Army and its allies. They did not win. In fact the war was farmed out to NATO and miraculously there were Poles fighting the Taliban.

This American war has now degraded into a civil war with the perennial Taliban taking on its own kin in the form of the Government of Afghanistan, a surrogate of the CIA.

This is how the US fights, from the safety of the cockpit of its fighter jets and leave it to the real men to have it out on the actual ground where real battles are fought out; and it is all for the US agenda.

For this kind of arrangement 

who gets the medals of military valour?
