Philosophically, religiously and culturally, the US and Saudi Arabia are:

POLAR OPPOSITES.

For US dollars the Royal house of Saud put up with the US whilst at the same time seeding and staffing thousands of their Wahhabi madrassas across the nations of the world to spawn generations of young zealous Mohammedans to hate Israel and the US; and above all to be willing to martyr themselves against them.,

For Saudi oil, the US and above all the House of Bush have chummed and buddied up to the the Saudi Royals whilst at the same time, today2015, bombing and strafing with F-16 and using drones to anti-missile Saudi trained martyrs who are fighting in the field.
