Of course it is harsh.

Nobody likes this. And I believe that even the Australians do not.
However, at least the Australians are honest to themselves and to the world:
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-33798779

They do not want illegals plopping themselves or sliding themselves into Australia, no matter what are the claims they utter about their lot.

There are official channels and they must go through them. There is an Australian embassy in Hanoi and a secondary office in Ho Chi Minh City.

In Europe, there PC rules and for that they just will not let it be known what are their true feelings. Their true feelings are that they do not want illegals thrusting their way in; nor will the tell them that if they do come in they will be deported; and then to do it.

As a result, as in the case of Italy, it has an island just off the North Africa that they trap these illegal there. In  turn the illegals are doing their best to get off the island to land in mainland Italy where they will be totally unwelcome.

Then they fight to get to Calais, France, in the hope of getting into the UK. The UK simply do not want them. And these illegals have more than enough evidence that the UK does not want them. But since the UK does not spell it out, they live in the intractable belief that they will be wanted once they get in. Certainly they will not be deported as PC rules prohibit such a thing.

Theirs a lot of wretched suffering and the Europeans ruthlessly impugn them with it.

I wish to God they be like the Australians. Tell them the truth and do the truth to them. Malaysia and Singapore have the same stance as Australia.

Remember the time when the US was whacking China for its violations of the human rights of its people; and on a US president visit Beijing, this US president kept his public avowal that he would take the matter up with the Paramount Ruler of China, Deng Xiaoping.

Deng listened to the US President. After a pause he leaned over and looked the US President in the eye. He told the President that he shared his concerns re his terrible unhappiness for the people of China because their human rights were being violated. Therefore, out of respect for his deep feelings about the human right violations of the Chinese people, he, Deng, would allow 10% of Chinese population to exit China to live in the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave. They would enjoy a life with no human rights violations.

It is a simple matter of a mathematical division. With population then of 1.1 trillion, what is the number that may leave China and become American citizens.

This of course would be an incredible humongous mass migration of legal immigrants from China into the US.

Do you know its politico-social consequences?
Do you know the cost of assimilation of this vast number of people.

After this event between Deng the US President, for the rest of the visit the US President, he never ever again spoke in any voluble way about China's violation of the human rights of its people. In fact, the US for many years after never spoke about it. In fact, I think they are still silent on the matter.

The mass immigration of people is a very delicate matter. Those who are part of the mass immigration desperately want it at any cost. Those who have no need of it, simply do not want them within their domicile at any cost. And they do not,  instinctively and intuitively.
