The only other way is to devise a test that will yield the result that confirms the validity of your generalization.
So here is a generalization that we have discovered. It is that:
People simply do not know how to ask a good question.
What is a good question?
It is a question that can peel open the nature of a human problem state.
Consider these five problems states:
1. I can never finish my morning appointments on time
2. I can never secure a balanced social and professional life.
3. I have developed a pain on my left toe like the foot of table pressing on top of it
4. Ever since my brother committed suicide I have been in depressed
5. I just cannot stand Stephen Harper, our Canadian Prime Minister.
For these 5 problem states there is only one good question that will peel open and reveal the true nature of the problem.
When you have what is the true nature of the problem, you can solve the problem.
You cannot if you have not created a good question to ask.
So, here is the test. Of these five, you can ask one good question you will be able to confirm to yourself - Yes I can solve this problem. Do so for one of these problems and we give you an A+. Well done!
If you cannot for any of these 5 then alas you score a D.
