truth is but a point of view.
So, here was my Portuguese cleaning of many years waxing about the TRUTH of her religion again. For some unknown condition, I found myself irritated by her wax.
So I put to her:
I give you want $100,000.00 as a gift in cash.
You deposit in your bank. It is all yours.
How would you feel about it.
She replied that she would be very grateful and very thankful.
Now, suppose after 3 days I am able to arrange with your bank to return the entire $100,000.00 back to me. How would you feel?
She replied, "I would be shocked and very annoyed.
"Correct," I said, "because my gift was not really gift. Agreed?" She said\, "Yes!"
Now, I said,:
"Your God gives you the greatest gift of all.
He sends to you his only begotten son to die on the cross.
He does this to save you from your sins., True."
She said, "Yes."
However:
"3 days later he takes it all back.
His son is revived, he lives."
Now came he brouhaha!
I told her:
"Recently our government sent our boys to Afghanistan.
Some of them died.
Their sacrifice was their gift and the their families gift to us.
Tell me, was this gift ever retrieved, in which 3 days latter they were all revived?
A gift is irretrievable. If it retrieved after 3 days it is not a gift.
So what are you so grateful for?
