For the first time after millennia a Pope has critique the Roman Curia

No pope has ever critiqued the Roman Curia ever.
Now Pope Francis has done so:

His critique of it is said to be blistering.
We know that the Roman Curia has evolved to be the very centre of absolute Church power. It was not unknown that Popes were its tool. It even said that the Curia arranged for Pope John Paul II on his many, many, many trips overseas as a convenient way to be rid of him whilst they carried with the actual business of the Church. As he deteriorated physically and mentally, his trips became even more frequent.
We can only surmise how utterly corrupt the Curia became.
We only have a taste of it in the TV series, The Thorn Birds, in which a Cardinal lives a double life in which he utterly corrupts an Australia young girl for his sexual needs whilst he does his "holy" doings in Rome.
As the centre was corrupt we also had tid bits of the incredible corrupt lives of various Cardinals who ruled their archdiocese from their splendid palaces.
What this Pope is demanding of his brothers is a spiritual change.
Will he get it?
As Horace said:
You can take a pitchfork to human nature
but it always comes back.
