President Morsi was voted into power by 51% of the electorate or some 20 millions of the electorate.
It was said that most, if not all of them, that voted for Morsi were members of the Muslim Brotherhood; as a group, they would have had a natural spread of ardour for their faith from those who just believe to those who were the true zealots.
If 5% of that 20 million were deeply faithful followers of Islam and the Brotherhood, it would mean that the Egyptian Army is today facing the task to bring to heel 1,000,000 of the brethren. If so, then the question is:
What is the requisite size of any army to hold down a resistant population of 1,000,000.
Already, urban explosives are being detonated here and there.
Can we say that this CIA inspired coup d'etat was an unconscionable ERR in that it will cost the people of Egypt dearly in blood, men, women and children. The CIA and generals will be well protected, safe and well ensconced in their domiciles. No harm will ever come to them. They will have all 21st Century utilities, facilities, coca-cola, FOOD, BMWs and armour plated mercedes benzs.
Who will not envy the life style of the BLESSED.
