An insight!

In Wilde's novel, Dorian Gray are these 2 lines:

We praise the banker that we may overdraw our account and find good qualities in the highway man in the hope that he will spare our pockets.

The most heartless and souless highwaymen in our lives were the Wall Street bankers.

In the initial shock of our discovery of their deeds and their consequences, there was not one word in the media to re-evaluate their good qualities.

A time came when there were suggestions to reduce their exaggerated pay cheques. Their masters bewailed to the world that if such a thing be done, it would be impossible to get the same kind of good people to fill the positions.

No one in the media ever pointed out that these "same good people" were the very same BAD people who cost me and millions of others some 55+% loss in our pension asset base, brought about the world financial collapse and cost millions their jobs and their pensions.

Who amidst your friends, including you, even thought that these "good people" were bunch of thieving scoundrels; and they, the critical core crooks, are still holding onto their jobs in Wall Street!*?^!^??*!~!!!?????
