US v China

The well-being of the world economy hinges on how the US economy and the Chinese economy work with each other.

In this, the Trump Presidency's the divinely sacred mantra is: 

PROTECTIONISM 

and 

US FIRST

regardless of what negative and impoverishing consequences it carries for the other nations. This is selfishness gone berserk. 

This stance is old time olde time classical ancient Roman hegemonism. Then it worked for six to six and a half centuries.

In the Xi Presidency, the sacred mantra from its heavenly mandate is:

CO-OPERATION

and

COLLABORATE IN ACCORD WITH ESTABLISHED PROTOCOLS OF LAW AS ESTABLISHED BY THE WTO.

If these two respective economies operate by the Trumpian method, both economies, theoretically, will end up destroying each other. We say theoretically because China has a buffer to her economy. In 2018 the trade volume of the New Belt and Road Initiative was over US$5 trillion. Our projection is that in 2019 it will be US$27 trillion

The US has no such buffer, If she shuts herself out of the worlds largest economy, it will be the irreplaceable loss. Europe already produces what she has to sell. India is desperately developing her industries to produce what American has to sell. This is the basis for the fear as witnessed by the current collapse of the US NYC stock market that US is on the path in its economy will shut out of the Chinese economy.

So, the places I know that could be purchasers of  US products are Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Mauritania, Egypt, Zimbabwe, Chad, Mali, South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, Fiji, Tonga, Tuvalu and Pitcairn Island. 

If US companies cannot send their goods to China, the fate of her labour force is massive unemployment.

People like Joe Navarro are pseudo-neocons who have been infected by Francis Fukuyama's The End of History. He still thinks that the US is the top hegemon of the world who can whack the economy of any nation to bend its knee to American will. One thing is for sure, the US did not win its the 2001 Afghanistan War and in retreat, it outsourced its Iraq to NATO. More latterly the US withdrew in its war in Syria.

However if the US and China economy co-operate and collaborate, it does not take high tech computer science to see that the benefits would be staggering and colossal for both economies and for the world.
