I was speaking with a retired Canadian accountant of high repute.

I asked him about his take on THE Donald's tariffs adventurisms. His answer was very simple:

It will be a MESS for all of us!

I then asked him, whether as THE Donald saw the unfolding mess into which the US would also find itself embroiled in, would he then backtrack. His answer was:

He listens to NO ONE!

Then he gave me a tidbit of good new. I am not 100% in my recall as to what he said. However, it was that the US Senate has passed a non-binding recommendation that in this matter of tariffs, he THE Donald is to tread carefully and consult with the Senate. This resolution passed by 100+ to 11.
