The clergy of Saudi Arabia were always UNTOUCHABLE = above the Law

The Royal Family of Saudi Arabia depends on its religious clergy who in turn assure the populace remain subservient to the Royal Overlords.

If MBS breaks this bargain that was sealed by Abdulaziz ibn Abdul Rahman ibn Faisal ibn Turki ibn Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al Saud,  usually known within the Arab World as Abdulaziz, and in the West as Ibn Saud, he may be acting very unwisely.

When one has enjoyed POWER as the Saudi Clergy have, they would be most loathe to be deprived of it.

What might be the most likely thing that they will do? Will it be to kow-tow and crawl before MBS? Is it likely that they might even contemplate if for one micro-second.
