The US military probably has had enough by now with US Presidents who want to have a land wars in Asia. There is no glory in it for them because they know that a land war in Asia is unwinnable.

If the US bombs N. Korea, N. Korea can now send 3 ICBMs at Hawaii each with an atom bomb. 

Can the US be sure it can hit all three.

If China, SECRETLY, tell N. Korea of the co-ordinates of the nearest US aircraft carrier battle group and N. Korea send 3 ICBMs that are nuked tipped at the battle group, can the US guarantee bringing down these additional three missiles.

The science of hitting an ICBM with another missile is not really perfected yet. 

So, for all its hegemonic belligerent bravura, do the N. Koreans and the Chinese fail to see that the top hegemon is not really serious about dealing with N. Korea.  

To be really real, Trump needs the US Congress to pass a Congressional enactment that he can go to war in N. Korea.

When he has this, then China and N. Korea will shit bricks. 

But, NOT UNTIL THEN!
