Saudi hegemonic aspirations in the Gulf

Saudi Arabia is completely whelmed by its colossal army purchases from UK and USA that it thinks it can now whack any country that it does not like. 
One country it did not like was Yemen and its Houthis.
Now it does not like Qatar. 
In the former it is now in a quagmire of a US type Vietnam War.
