This is a 2000 square mile iceberg.

Of course it will melt and the sea level will rise.

However, what is even more telling is that the glaciers that are near it will also melt faster and this will help the sea level to rise even more.

This brings us to the nation of Tuvalu. It is a small set of islands in the Pacific. It was once part of the British Empire. Britain granted it independence. For this, it now sits in the United Nations. Its UN vote is in the back pocket of the worlds top hegemon. 

Tuvalu has a area of 26 sq km (Greater Toronto Area is 7+million square kilometers) with a population of 10,640 by 2012 census (Toronto has a population of 6+ million).

Tuvalu is very highly at risk of drowning in the Pacific. The only way for the top hegemon  its UN Vote from drowning is get Holland to save. The Dutch have the technology to keep back the Pacific waves from going over these islands.

This vote for the top hegemon is necessary because every time there is a vote that against Israel at the UN Assembly, the US at least has the Tuvalu grass skirt vote to stand with it against the resolution. Without the Tuvalu vote, it would be the only one for Israel. If this is so it means utter and total isolation for the top hegemon.

So the question now comes to down to this:

Does the US care enough for its vote 

to save the Tuvalu islands from its Pacific drowning 

by paying hundreds of billions of good US taxpayer $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ 

to save the  their Tuvaluns island homes? 

Will the American taxpayer be willing to allow this when they do not really care if 20 million do not have health care coverage if the shenanigans over Obamacare win.
