Of course the project has benefited hundreds of millions.

Now then, we have in N. America a problem of a parched SE USA. 

We in the NW see trillions of fresh water draining away via the St. Lawrence into the Atlantic Ocean.

The Atlantic is being replenished by trillions of litres of fresh water from calving glaciers and huge antarctic icebergs.

Are we so insane that we cannot do what China has done?
