Grow up. I know it is hard to swallow; and after the 4th, there will be a 5th . . . and so on.

Once the Ming ocean fleets of China weighed 24,000+ tons. And under its Grand Admiral, Zheng He, sailed the basin of the Indian Ocean down to South Africa.

In 1497. 92 years later, Vasco da Gama, sailed from Lisbon to South Africa in a vessel, Sao Gabriel. It was only 178 tons.

Historically, the Ming did a volte-face. It ended its maritime sea voyages, dismantled every ship of its fleets, destroyed all records of Zheng He's voyages and destroyed all records of how to build its sea faring ships. From that instant, China preceded the US as the: 

Number 1 ISLATIONALISTIC NATION.

If the ratio, in tonnage of a Chinese to a Western ship, then, was 24,000:178 then; and China is today, set to regain its maritime eminence, then what would be the logical equivalence for a Chinese aircraft carrier to REALLY BE, if an American aircraft carrier displaced 100,000 tons.

You see, this is something that is so hard to swallow.

What is even more difficult to swallow is that every American expert today acknowledges is that there is a significant power shift from the West to the East.

Thus, the volume of trade between ASEAN and China is today the largest and the greatest in the world. 

It is certainly NOT between US and Europe.
