Some authorities have said that the US is danger of losing its singularly privileged status as the holder of the world's reserve currency.
If it does, everyone knows which world currency will supplant it.
But the US GDP is over US $19 trillions. China's is nowhere near this. It is really therefore not in the game to supplant the US - not in the next 30 years . . . or ever.
It can be a headache to be the holder of the world's reserve currency.
