Of course this raises such hopes for us in the West for the Saudi female of the gender:

So, have the Saudis:
                      1. ended segregating their women in their Mosques?
                      2. may women drive their cars in Saudi Arabia?
                      3. may they dress as they wish?
                      4. are they still required to ask permission when they 
                          wish to travel abroad?
                      5. do they have to be accompanied when they go out 
                          shopping or to visit friends?
                      6. are they now allowed to go out hand in hand with 
                          their boy friend
                      7. are they even allowed to have a boy friend?
                      8. may they have unchaperoned dates?
                      9. has the brain washing of women that they are to be 
                          subservient to men, ended?
                     10. has the Law that sets the value of a woman to be 
                            less by the quantification as specified in Sharia 
                            ended?
                     11. has the automatic right to end a marriage by a 
                           man by his uttering "I divorce you" three times 
                           means exactly that and that this is now substituted 
                           by the due process of secular LAW 

If none of these things and many other Saudi Wahabi female grievances are not undone, this purported celebration of the Saudi female gender is a SHAM!
