It was there that the Taliban gave the US forces a quite a lesson in military ambushing with the consequence of untold numbers of US PTSD cases still uncured in USA.

This event is something I deeply regret because the body count of these Americans will start to rise again.
There is nothing in the evidence that US soldiers in the field are the truly battle tested top guns.
If anything after the strident lessons in the Korean War, Vietnam War, Afghanistan War, Iraqi War, you would have thought that the US would have backed up on a Pentagon conclusion of many years standing:
No more land wars in Asia for the US.
The only military successes the US can count are:
War in Grenada
to save US medical students from Communism
War in Panama
to punish ex-CIA agent President Noriega for his CIA drug dealings.
Notice, all those above successful wars never took place in Asia. There were all in South America.
