This just seems to be an unimportant passing news item.

When I first came across this, I was close to ignoring it:

until I noticed that this entire fleet is sited for the South China Sea.

And as you know, in the South China Sea the US has stationed an entire carrier fleet.

If you think there are only these bombers over this US carrier fleet you are mistaken. There are Chinese nuclear subs to match the US nuclear subs, Chinese destroyers to match US destroyers.

We know that over this issue, China will never back down. It is a matter of face, you see. So she will take whatever the the US proposes to whack her with. She in turn will do her best to whack the US back. It will be blow for blow.

In the end it will boil down to who has can really afford to give up in men and blood, materiel and national wealth over 10 years of such exchanges.

I was informed the US national debt is about $19 trillion only to be promptly corrected that it is actually $60 trillion and to be finally corrected that it is in excess of $100 trillion.

China is also in debt. But her debt is an internal one. The US debt is not. It is external. Now this is SIGNIFICANT because in the battle equation, if it ever unfolds the loser is already a foregone conclusion; and the Chinese know this.
