Here is an interesting proposal. It is for a rail line all the way from Urumqi in China to Tehran in Iran:

The construction of this rail line will inevitably entail a road; and if it is a six lane highway, it will open trade on a massive scale. 

The nations across which this rail line will pass will want to get their feeder rail lines into it.

It is also a rail line that will sequester Siberia to its natural locale.

This in turn will be a grievous irk to-you-know-who.
