Kunduz and the US

Kunduz is one of the richest cities in Afghanistan and it is in a very strategic location.

The US and the CIA has done everything to ensure that it remain in the control of President Ghani of Afghanistan, a dutiful ally of the CIA.

In spite of all US, CIA and NATO efforts Kunduz fell into the hands of the Taliban.

What is the critical commentary that you can draw about the generalship of US military commanders?
