In silence when oil soared up to $140+ a barrel, we never grasped that we transferred to OPEC, especially to the Wahhabi Saudis a vast portion of our wealth base.
In turn their Kings and princes were able to build palaces costing billions and to own mansions, villas and chateaux in the West that cost tens and hundreds of millions.
We gave them the ticket into the most incredible lavish life styles.
God was hard on Ishmael when he allowed Abraham to send
his mother Hagar and him into the desert to die.
We can only surmise now that he has decided to make amends
to the sons of Ishmael.
However, I do not think we need to over largess them as we have by paying the kind of oil prices we have done.
We owe it to ourselves to reduce the price of oil as it once was at 40 cents a barrel.
Exxon was doing very well once when oil was at 40 cents a barrel. I do not feel any of us owe Exxon a $140+ a barrel of oil, do you?
