This is terrible

Last month:

Poor California. There is no remission to its drought.

Poor Tuvalu:

it is an island of 10 square miles with a population of 10,000+ people. It enjoys a status as a nation and is a member of the UN. It job is to regularly vote the way the US wishes it to vote.

The sea level has apparently risen 20 feet. However, because it is unevenly distributed Tuvalu is not under the Pacific yet.

However, there is a sad inevitability about its fate.

Needless to say, because of its absolute and total subservience to the US at the UN, there is I suspect a frustration in many for such an unseemly extended waiting that they have been put through. Their moment of schadenfreude has been thwarted repeatedly by this extended delaying of its aquatic vanishing.

For them, there will be no regret when the Pacific fully embraces it.
