I am not concerned about their reasons for their view. I am concerned the definitive position that they have taken. And I hope that their view will prevail for the sake of the greater common good because the evidence on the ground the it is no business of anyone if they of their own free will decide to smoke opium. There was a time in Victorian England when the availability of opium was legal. If they knew how to purify it, that product also would have been legal then.
What is necessary is that its sale must be within the purview jurisdiction of the state with the monies from this source must not be added to the general revenue of the government. We propose this because the established fact is that politicians will only misuse this money.
These monies must be within the control of a part elected and part appointed body that will act as trustees with metrics as how it is to be spent.
Alternatively, these monies be added to the sovereign of a nation in the manner that they have in Norway.
