Concern over UK judges

No one is absolute and unto themselves in UK laws.

Now suddenly there has emerged concerns that UK judges are absolute and Gods unto themselves, thus:

What do you think?

In the case as cited the daughter and husband are but two of untold hundreds of thousands of UK citizenry who live off the fat of the land.

The question is: By the judge's intervention has he really changed anything in a self sustaining way?

I honestly do not think that he has.

He would have if he had vitiated the entire mother's will and transferred the entire asset base of the will to the daughter. With wise investment and frugality, the daughter and family might not have to ever depend on state largess.

However, I have serious reservations that frugality is not an innate trait in the daughter and her husband and the chances that they might find a good financial adviser, is in the lap of the Gods.

We all know that as far as good financial advisers, there are more crooked ones than honest and good ones. They may perhaps be honest but are defective at their jobs. They may be dishonest but dam good at it.
