FIFA Investigator Blasts Report Clearing Qatar, Russia of Corruption in World Cup Bids
The international soccer organization FIFA has issued a report clearing Russia and Qatar of corruption in their bids for the World Cups in 2018 and 2022. The move came despite records of illegal payments by Qatari officials, which were noted in the report, and the destruction of computers and disappearance of emails related to Russia’s bid. The announcement caused an internal rift within FIFA after the investigator whose evidence was used in the report denounced the conclusions, calling them "incomplete and erroneous."
The question at issue was not what Qatar or Russia did. We all can be generous if we have the money to fling. There is really no law against you flinging your money to whoever you want.
It is however about FIFA's corruptibility for taking the money.
The tempter may or may not be corrupt.
However if the person is successfully tempted - than, VOILA - he is guilty of being corrupt.
It is so interesting that they FIFA did not investigate itself. If it did no one would have believed FIFA.
To so such a self-investigation is not believable because it entails a conflict of interest.
