Our orthodoxy is always there to assure us AUTOMATICALLY that we are ALWAYS RIGHT with respect to our deductions, interpretations, evaluations and conclusions about people, things and situations in our lives.
The tragedy to our ego is when our deductions, interpretations, evaluations and conclusions of people, things and situations in our lives is contradicted by a fact.
How can we save our ego, self-esteem and self-importance from such a tragedy?
It is proposed that for our deductions, interpretations, evaluations and conclusions we best apply a test that will give the result that proves that indeed we are right.
In Einsteins first paper on relativity published in 1915, it was replete will a scan of deductions, interpretations, evaluations and conclusions. One of them, to the shock and disbelief of the scientific community was that light did not travel in straight lines. They knew of a test that would either confirm this conclusion or discount it.
Thankfully, for Einstein the test in 1919 by Eddington and all subsequent repeats of the same test, proved the accuracy of his deduction,
So, if your deduction of another is:
She is a bitch!
or
He is a bastard
you need to devise a test that by its results it does confirm that your conclusion is true-to-the-person.Until you have the evidence, they say:
Silence is golden!
