I suppose we must all be grateful for little mercies

So here is the call:

And this has happened after an Israeli jet missiled a UN school in Rafah and killed a double digit number of school children and wounding a triple digit number of staff and students.

And in the Western press there are alleluias for the drop in violence. Of course there is a drop when the principal party in the violence has decided to call it off for a number of single digit hours.

What will be the choruses in the Western media if Israel were ever to negotiate with the Palestinians in good faith for their state and finally there is true peace. Does anyone know what is the chorus that goes beyond "alleluia" that would merit such a true peace?
