About the Taliban.

When Bush initiated his American War in Afghanistan, the Taliban took to the hills before the rain of U.S. bombs.

These however were the fighting men who defeated a Russian Army; and in the Americans knew they could not best them in the field of battle. So they outsourced their war to NATO and to their political satrap - the President of Afghanistan and his .gov and his army - trained by U.S. and Canada and supplied by all the necessary military materiel.
