This is ugly and so un-Australian.
You have to admit to all of South America that you do not want them to come as immigrants into the U.S. unless they satisfy certain criteria.
Just showing up at the border means immediate deportation back to their country of origin.
If they are children who have been deceived into coming they will be sent home with an appropriate monetary compensation.
If they return, they will be immediately deported back home with no compensation.
