World financial collapse and China

The world financial collapse left the West in a plight.

There was the hope that the Asia Pacific nations, especially China would keep the economy of the West and the world ticking on. The U.S. transferred vast amounts of money into the coffers of Western banks, into its mighty corporations and engaged in QE 1  . . .  QEN.

In the face of all this, there was sometimes the aroma of schadenfreude that China might might fall on its face.. However, it has not happened yet and it would seen, for the sake of all of us, that it will not as confirmed by this new item:
