The British have very unusual citizenship protocols!

When you read an item like this:

you really have to wonder how on earth he was ever granted British citizenship?

Lesson:
On the other hand, he, if guilty, might have been very helpful in bringing in hundreds of millions of pounds to enhance the operation of the British parlous economy.

For this alone, he had a justified claim to British citizenship . . .  or are we mistaken?
