A religious war?

This is a sad fact:

The source of the conflict is a spill down from Somalia whose border is just north of Kenya.

Its extremist Islamist militants have concluded that their kith and kin in religion is being ill-treated by the Kenyan government. This offers for the them the excuse to do these attacks.

Question 1:
In the end, will the .gov.Kenya send its troops into Southern Somalia to suppress this fervid zealous rabid lot?

Question 2:
If Kenya does this will it become embroiled in an equivalent quagmire as the Americans were in Vietnam and Afghanistan and Iraq?
