Richard Bandler and John Grinder in their seminal work, Structure of Magic, severely but with gentility whacked thinking by Cause and Effect. They definitively stated that no person can make or cause another to feel a specific emotion or feeling. And if think calmly and deeply on this, it will unfold as a self-evident fact that no one can make you or cause you to 'love me' or any other, or any other emotion.
Yet everyone thinks in this idiot way. And it is by this way that we are all skidded into a terrible secular tyranny, POLITICAL CORRECTNESS. Once upon a time it was a religious tyranny - PURITANISM.
The result is today we fear offending another.
An offense is a feeling and emotion. If you believe that you can offend another - try me. YOU WILL NEVER SUCCEED. You will not succeed because to allow by myself to be suborned by this false belief is to give up my integrity and autonomy. This I will never.
You cannot cause an emotion in another.
Time to give up childish beliefs.
Tell the truth as you see it - RESPECTFULLY; and if people respond with their feelings re what you say it is their response-ibility, not yours.
