This has never been known to happen!

The Chinese diaspora has Chinese communities grow, thrive and flourish in all national environments. They have never been known to fail.
However, like all generalizations, there has to be the exception to prove it; and here it is:

This case brings to mind the Jewish community in Haifeng in China. Historically, it was known to be a thriving community. Then it faded. There are however Chinese people in Haifeng who are known by Jewish names. 
And we know that the Holy Blossom Synagogue in Toronto retrieved many of artefacts from the Jewish cemetry in Haifeng.

The fate of the Chinese in Cuba seems to be one of utter and total obliteration that they were ever there.
