A little while ago, I stumbled on
the news item that China was planning to build the worlds tallest
building.
Now, I am surprised that it is
already nearly three quarters done:
I remember when Malaysia built
her Petronas towers. My wife and visited it and dined in its uber restaurant and
walked across its inter-connecting bridge. It was quite an
experience.
However, at that time it was not
fully rented out. And Kuala Lumpur has a population, if you include its
surrounding area, some 5.7 million people. I am quite sure it is completely
rented out today.
The Petrons Towers have long been
superceded by the Burj Khalifa of Dubai. I hope that it is also completely
rented out. The financial cost, if it were not, would be quite a drain on the
owners.
