The anomaly of the U.S.A.

    hi.
I have to wonder about the anomaly of the United States.
The United State is the most powerful nation in the world and has the largest economy in the world.
The GDP of the U.S. is 14,991,300. Way behind at number two is China whose GDP is 7,203,784. And even further behind at 5,870,357 is Japan.
How then is it that U.S. has millions upon millions of starving children. I was at a dinner last Saturday in Youngstown, New York. In front of me was a social worker who works with poor children. She confirmed to me that their lot was that of starving children. When she told me this, I exclaimed to her, "I believe that what you tell me is true-to-fact. For this I do not even want to think this - if you have starving children here in Buffalo, New York, then what is happening about the starving children in a bankrupt city like Detroit?"
And for me this a condition of the blatant violation of the human rights of these children of american.
How on earth is it possible that America has millions upon millions of people who are unemployed? This is utterly anomalous.
How is anyone to explicate the millions upon millions who are below the poverty line in the U.S.
How are we to understand Christian preachers who live in mansions with their private jets amidst an America in such a state of woe and impoverishment.
How are we to understand the Congress and the Senate of the United States being more concerned with China's alluded computer hacking and the under valuation of her currency than the poor and disenfranchised of the American polity.
How is it that millions upon millions have no access to health care whilst the health insurance soar to new thresholds of financial prosperity.
This is the anomaly of America and her bitter sorrow.
