Edward Snowden, the whistle blower about U.S. Prism program trolling the Internet for data across the world, is charged with espionage:
This is a rediculous charge. The word espionage means 'to be sent in by one country spy in a another country and with intent to do harm to it'. Classically it is to do some act of sabotage.
Snowden was never an agent of another country.
This charge could be interpreted as a human rights violation - his right to tell the truth of the shenanigans of his country of origin.
In this he has been praised by his countrymen.
