You have to wonder the sheer weight and volume of the emotions of the Dark Side in Washington against Edward Snowden.

You do a crime when you really hurt and harm to another.
So what is the hurt and harm that Snowden did?
Can anyone name one person who had to be hospitalized because what he did nearly killed that person?
Of course no one life was ever endangered.

So what is the actual harm and the hurt that he did?

It was just about a little bit of ouchy to be exposed that one actually had one's hand in the cooky jar.
