It is sad, but here is an example of fantasy whacking reality!

To this context this commendation is fantasy:

All conflicts, eventually end in dialogue. However it happens only when there is the goodwill for it, as a thing in and of itself, or when it was forced out of the other party. The best case example was WW II when Japan agreed to her surrender.
Howeve, in this Syrian conflict neither side is disposed to have a chat; and the governernment of Bashir al Assad is determined to use his army to suppress his people.
This cry for dialogue is stupid and futile now.
